Crochet Hat with Brim

So happy Friday and what a fun Friday it's been. I was asked by a friend if I could duplicate a hat that she loves. The problem is the hat is a from the store Knit creation and yea I don't knit. Okay so I crawl the internet and finally find this hat pattern but it's in a horrible color and it is with a super saver yarn which isn't the look we want. So I changed to a good color and a plush yarn and this was the creation that came out. I love it, she loves it and we are all happy. Now my kiddos want me to make them one.

Turn of the Century hooks

So....6 years ago....yes 6 long years ago I came across this website (Turn of the Century) and they have the most beautiful crochet hooks I ever saw! I showed my husband and said "gee, I would sure love these" well time goes by as it usually does. When I find myself sitting down to cake for my birthday in January and my gift......it was a box of the hooks! OMG I almost fell out of the chair. I don't know how he remembered the hooks or the site but alas there they were in all their glory. I couldn't wait to sit down and create something, anything with them. I was so very excited to get this unexpected gift. I've had the hooks now for a little over a two weeks and let me tell you how spectacular they are!!!!!!!

Water bottle holders

So I was at a birthday party with my water bottle as always and one of the parents there asked me where I bought my holder. She was tired of constantly putting napkins or paper towels around her water bottles to keep them from making her hands wet or cold. I told her that I made mine since my daughter had asked for a holder and I ended up liking the product. 10 minutes later she slips me money and says she can be my first customer if I would make her 3 of them. I was totally shocked! I made the holders and was inspired to improve the pattern. I have since improved the pattern and will be making a ton of them to sell at a local booth (wish me luck!).
